Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Radiology Clinical Director to lead our healthcare team in delivering high-quality medical services. The Radiology Clinical Director will be responsible for overseeing clinical operations, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, and managing the overall performance of clinical staff. This role requires strong leadership skills and a comprehensive understanding of healthcare management practices.
Duties
- Oversee and coordinate smooth and efficient patient flow.
- Identify areas of potential medical/legal risk, recommend appropriate responses, including staff education, policy changes, and interactions with physicians and families; effectively communicate with the Administrator and Medical Director.
- Support and implement continuous quality improvement using the appropriate facility forms.
- Coordinate activities with physicians; participate in the maintenance and excellent customer relations with radiologists.
- Oversee the provisions of all modality services.
- Participate in interviews and recommend hiring qualified facility personnel.
- Utilize a performance improvement approach to involve the staff in facility process improvements.
- Develops and creates clinical team’s schedule that align with labor budget.
- Participate in facility goals and objectives planning. Submit goals and objectives to the Administrator that ensure progressive, quality diagnostic services.
- Oversee clinical research programs
- Ensure prompt and proper service and maintenance for all the equipment and contact company representatives for resolution of problems, if problems persist. Assured equipment is safe to use.
- Oversee safety program that encompasses all modalities.
- Responsible, along with Practice Manager, for assuring Facility, Equipment, and Staff compliance with regulatory agency guidelines (i.e. ACR, HIPPA, MQSA, Medicare and State Department of Health.
- Ensures that Facility, Equipment, and Staff all adhere to HIPAA, OSHA, regulatory, compliance, privacy and confidentiality standards at all times, maintaining patient confidentiality at all times.
Requirements
- Graduated from an AMA-accredited radiology program and corresponding State certification is required. Bachelor’s Degree in Health Science is preferred or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience in healthcare management, with a strong understanding of medical management practices.
- Demonstrated ability to manage diverse teams effectively in a clinical setting.
- A minimum of 4 years of experience as a Mutli-Modality Radiologic Technologist.
- Supervisory experience in an ambulatory surgery center or acute care hospital setting, demonstrating leadership capabilities and effectiveness in dealing with personnel and emergency situations is required.
- A complete understanding of technical methodology and equipment is required for all modalities supervised. In addition, the incumbent must have a broad-based understanding of reimbursement, cost containment, compliance, department quality control, and excellent interpersonal communication skills.
- Current CPR certification is mandatory.
