About the Role
This position is responsible for performing high and moderate complexity testing in a highly complex laboratory setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately and efficiently perform pre-analytical, analytical and post analytical processes for laboratory testing.
- Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment according to manufacturer's instructions.
- Evaluate results of laboratory tests according to laboratory protocols to ensure quality patient care.
- Document all laboratory activities according to policies and procedures.
- Maintain and demonstrate competency assessment in assigned area.
- Take responsibility for self-development.
- Complete all assigned mandatory assignments within allowed timelines.
- Be an active participant in departmental projects.
- Collaborate with the laboratory supervisor to ensure laboratory compliance with all regulatory agencies by established standards.
- Train students and new team members, and be a resource for other technical team members.
- Assess competency of team members as assigned.
