Responsibilities include managing system upgrades, troubleshooting issues, implementing new applications, managing a team of 7-8 staff and ensuring seamless integration of technology within Financial Affairs.

- To serve as the senior technology officer for the division, and to ensure institutional and divisional systems align with governmental and institutional regulations and policies, and with Financial Affairs business processes and procedures.
- To maintain accountability and coordination of all areas of information technology services, including divisional computer support services, data retention systems and institutional systems for which Financial Affairs is the functional owner or services as primary user.
- To work with Financial Affairs, UAB IT and other UAB leadership in the management of technology and to research, develop, plan, test, and implement new functionality and applications for Financial Affairs.
