Human Resource Partner

Salary Range: $47,665 - $77,455
Job Summary:
The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) is seeking a Human Resource Partner (HRP) to serve as a key HR contact for a college, school, or large department. This role functions in coordination with the Office of Human Resources and provides independent HR management for a complex division or department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary HR partner, providing guidance and support to employees and administrators.
- Oversee and manage human resources services, including faculty and staff recruitment.
- Advise department leadership on HR policies, procedures, and compliance.
- Facilitate the selection of applicants during the employment process.
- Serve as a liaison between departments and the Office of Human Resources on academic and non-academic HR matters.
- Ensure compliance with university HR policies and procedures.
- Manage HR-related projects and may supervise administrative staff.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related field (required).
- Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of related HR experience.
- Substitutions: Work experience cannot substitute for the education requirement.
