You will work closely with community leaders, school administrators, teachers, and parent educators to develop inclusive program practices for all eligible racial/ethnic groups. This role requires effective communication skills, presentation expertise, and the ability to write compelling reports and news releases.
Responsibilities
- Manage and evaluate the EFNEP program, ensuring its alignment with UC-approved curricula and activities
- Develop and implement outreach plans to engage diverse communities and promote inclusive program practices
- Collaborate with community partners to promote healthy behaviors and develop evidence-based interventions
- Meet with local partners to discuss program implementation and develop strategies for improving community outcomes
- Prepare reports and news releases to share program successes and best practices
Requirements
- Associate degree or equivalent experience/training in a related field (nutrition, public health, community health, etc.)
- Continuing education, training, or professional development in a related field
- Knowledge of community education, community engagement, teaching best practices, and Microsoft Office programs
- Experience working with diverse youth, adults, and volunteers, including those with disabilities and from underserved populations
- Familiarity with schools and community-based agencies serving lower-income populations
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, presentation skills, and report-writing abilities
