Position description

The Department of Internal Medicine at the University of California, Davis School of Medicine is recruiting for two full-time faculty member(s) in the Health Sciences Clinical Professor series at the Assistant / Associate / Full Professor rank in Non-Invasive Cardiology. Faculty in the Health Sciences Clinical Professor series are expected to engage in teaching, professional competence, and activity, scholarly or creative activities, and University / public service.

Cardiovascular Medicine Faculty responsibilities include direct inpatient and outpatient clinical care; teaching medical students, residents, and fellows; university / public service; and regular attendance at scheduled meetings and CME activities. The incumbents should be able to provide expert clinical care in the field of non-invasive cardiology with a focus on echocardiography. The applicant should exhibit excellent interpersonal skills, ability to foster collegiality and collaboration in a diverse environment is required. This position is open to all ranks, Assistant, Associate and Full Professor.

Qualifications

Basic qualifications

  • MD., M.D. / Ph.D., D.O. or equivalent degree
  • The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills and interest in Non-Invasive Cardiology
  • Teaching experience at the undergraduate or graduate level

Additional qualifications

  • Board certification / eligibility in Cardiovascular Medicine and Echocardiography
  • Medical licensure or eligible for licensure in the state of California
  • ACGME accredited fellowship or equivalent experience
