Job Summary
The Program for Interprofessional Practice and Education (PIPE) coordinator works closely with the PIPE program director and faculty leadership from 4 different schools (Schools of Dentistry, Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy) and the Physical Therapy graduate program to support interprofessional curriculum development and implementation.
The coordinator will oversee a variety of administrative and programmatic functions, including oversight and program day to day management in conjunction with faculty director.
PIPE Coordinator's Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Organizing programs and activities in accordance with the mission and goals of the program
- Scheduling classrooms & other logistical items, including partnering with IT
- Scheduling faculty facilitators
- Scheduling learners
- Gathering and analyzing data; offering suggestions for program improvements
- Preparing a variety of content and reports
- Maintaining databases
- Program committee support
The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.
Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.
The salary range for this position is $67,600 - $120,200 (Annual Rate).

Department Description
The Program in Interprofessional Practice and Education (PIPE) is responsible for promoting and developing Interprofessional learning opportunities for learners in the Schools of Dentistry, Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy and the Graduate Program in Physical Therapy. In addition, the PIPE program promotes Interprofessional practice at UCSF and its affiliated clinical partners. PIPE provides Interprofessional competencies, guidance and oversight for Interprofessional learning experiences for health professions students in the Schools of Dentistry, Medicine, Nursing, and Pharmacy, and the Graduate Program in Physical Therapy and fosters faculty and staff to lead, teach and develop Interprofessional practice and education. PIPE fosters research in Interprofessional education and collaborative practice and identifies and assists with grant submissions to grow the evidence base for Interprofessional practice and education.
The Program in Interprofessional Practice and Education (PIPE) operates within the EVCP organization which is the central administrative organization for UCSF academic and research enterprise functions. The EVCP organization supports diverse interests and campus constituencies including faculty, students, and staff, as well as the community at large.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Public Health, Public Policy or related field and / or equivalent experience / training
- Three (3) or more years of related work experience
- Thorough knowledge of relevant policies and regulatory requirements. Solid knowledge of health professions education program requirements. Thorough knowledge of health professions education industry
- Thorough knowledge of administrative analysis and operations research. Demonstrated ability to develop and implement processes and systems
- Demonstrated experience and documented excellence in oral and written communications skills; includes active listening and critical thinking
- Strong interpersonal skills. Actively cooperates and supports the work of others. Ability to work productively with anyone regardless of background. Empathetic and aware of impact on others. Strong problem solving skills to assist learners and resolve issues
- Excellent organizational skills, analytical, and demonstrated attention to detail. Ability to complete work and meet established deadlines in an accurate and timely manner, and to manage short and competing deadlines
- Thorough knowledge of educational software and platforms. Demonstrated ability to analyze and seek solutions to enhance the user experience
- Experience working with students and faculty
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Education, Public Health, Public Policy or related field and / or equivalent experience / training
- Thorough knowledge of the administrative and operational implications in a program
- Thorough knowledge of data management, documentation methods used in investigating and presenting findings about the program. Skills include statistical analysis of data across databases and systems
- Experience with UCSF Systems including CLE & Qualtrics
