The Department of Art and Art History at CU Boulder encourages applications for The Temporary Studio Assistant! This role will support ceramics professors with classroom activities.

The Department of Art and Art History within the College of Arts & Sciences is committed to the practice, production, critical and historical study of art within a Liberal Arts education that encourages experimentation and independence of thought!

What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be

This role will help with slip-casting, mold-making, mixing glazes, and glazing and firing work and classroom support.

What You Should Know

This is a temporary, part-time position working up to 6 hours per week.

What We Can Offer

The hourly rate for this part-time position is $18/hr.

Temporary positions at the University of Colorado are not benefits-eligible, however, all positions are eligible for paid sick leave.

What We Require

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

What You Will Need

Comfortable in Ceramics classes.

What We Would Like You to Have

3 years of ceramic experience
Assistant Teaching experience in Higher Education
Glaze and Clay making experience
Knowledge of Kiln Firing with Gas and Electric Kilns
Extensive experience with all ceramic techniques and materials
