Other Conditions : We are filling two full-time temporary positions at the Band B level. These positions are subject to availability of 100% Federal Funding and is annually renewable every July 1 contingent on performance and / or availability of funds.
Duties and Responsibilities

- Serves as the Community Infrastructure Specialist for the UH Center for Indigenous Innovation and Health Equity (CIIHE) to lead capacity-building efforts for community research and program initiatives in partnership with CIIHE's network of partners
- Identifies and develops innovative approaches to evaluation, program implementation, and curriculum development that incorporate aspects of ecological and community health from an Indigenous worldview in a specific geographic region
- Strengthens community networks by identifying collective gaps and needs, facilitating information exchange, and fostering critical relationships between communities and systems across the state of Hawai'i
- Develops initiatives that support infrastructure for long-term sustainability of Indigenous practices and knowledge systems
- Works alongside researchers, academic professionals, and cultural professionals to ensure cultural accuracy and respect
- Works closely with Principal Investigators and Director to identify opportunities to apply research findings to strengthen existing policies and expand current policy and / or systems change initiatives
- Performs other related project administration duties as required
