Conducts qualitative and quantitative collection-centered and patron-centered evaluations of existing collections. Assists in planning for new collections or subject concentrations in cooperation with faculty, librarians, other libraries, and library consortia. Serves as system administrator for integrated library services platform and liaises with ExLibris on needed updates and customization to the system.Administers remote access to digital information resources for students and faculty; monitors and reports on database usage statistics; negotiates contracts with current and potential database vendors; maintains digital information resources management records to track vendor contacts and subscription information.Provides both in-person and virtual class instruction in the use of library and information resources. Creates web pages, multimedia presentations, printed information sheets, and other resources to facilitate student learning and user access to information. Participates in departmental faculty and administrative committees, community service, and professional development activities. Assignments may include evening and weekend hours, and off-campus locations.Performs other duties as assigned. Minimum QualificationMaster's degree in Library and Information Science (MLISc) or equivalent Master’s degree in Library Science from an ALA-accredited program.Desirable QualificationsKnowledge of common approaches to collection evaluation. Knowledge of materials acquisitions and processing.
