Position Overview
The position performs green space and hardscape maintenance to ensure a high quality of landscape care within an assigned area of the campus landscape.
This is an essential position that will be called upon in the event of an emergency and / or university closure.
Duties may include :
- Water, irrigate and install sprinklers
- Prune, weed and monitor grass, plants, shrubs and trees
- Mow, edge, thatch and patch turf
- Keep landscape and hardscape areas clear of weeds, leaves, trash and other debris
- Maintain trees up to 20 feet tall
- Apply and maintain records related to chemical applications and fertilizers
- Maintain and repair landscaping tools and equipment
- Operate a variety of tools and equipment
- Other duties as assigned
