Position SummaryThe Associate Chief Nursing Officer has responsibility and accountability for establishing and maintaining clinical quality, compliance, infection prevention and control, excellence in nursing practice and effectiveness and efficiency of clinical operations and the staffing office and information systems, including nursing workforce optimization, staffing resource utilization, and centralized support for all nursing departments. This position serves as facilitator of collaborative professional relationships between and among medical staff, academic programs, corporate programs, and hospital operations for the purpose of creating a healing and supportive environment for patients and staff. The position models the values, acts in accordance with nursing policies and procedures and holds others accountable for meeting standards which may be informed by industry best practices or may be regulatory in nature. This position provides leadership and support throughout nursing.
