- Identification, development, and oversight of multi-institutional, center-level external grants for cancer-focused research or education.
- Serve in a leadership role within the administrative core/administrative support of awarded multi-institutional, center-level external grants for cancer-focused grants.
- Oversight of center-level research grant proposal development, submission, and post-award administration, coordination, and reporting.
- Advising, counseling, and supporting CCIL research program and working groups regarding the development and submission multi-PI and multi-institutional grants.
- Participation in CCIL research program and working group meetings to identify and foster multi-PI and multi-institutional grants opportunities.
- Performs other related work as needed.
- Master’s degree in a relevant discipline.
- Demonstrated experience in the development, submission, and administration of multi-PI and multi-institutional research grants.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience of grant submission and award requirements of federal and other external funding agencies (e.g., NIH; NSF; DOD; major foundations; etc.).
- PhD or equivalent in a relevant discipline.
- Demonstrated experience and leadership of multi-PI, collaborative cancer-focused research grants with regard to both pre-award and post-award requirements and activities.
- Familiarity with NCI’s Cancer Center Support Grant processes and requirements. Pre-award and post-award experience with training grants (e.g., T-32 Training Grants).
- Exceptional interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to multi-task, set priorities, and perform well under tight deadlines.
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent operational knowledge of MS Office Suite, including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
- Capacity for both self-directed and team-oriented work.
