Job Summary
Responsible for supporting all aspects of CSBS's research development which includes, but is not limited to, identifying, expanding, and supporting new research initiatives and working to build research capacity in the social and behavioral sciences. Key duties of this position include (1) sponsored research management and grant proposal support; (2) research support and faculty collaboration management; and (3) infrastructure support. This position will coordinate with other research development specialists / managers and will liaison with units on and off campus to facilitate cutting edge research for the public good. Sponsored Research Management and Grant Proposal Support
- Analyze, align, and strategically match organizational strengths with short term emphasis and long-term directions of funding agencies.
- Identify new interdisciplinary research opportunities and provide support in the development of new major research initiatives.
- Conduct targeted grant searches and provide grant development and processing support for faculty in the social and behavioral sciences, track active and upcoming solicitations and programs.
- Maintain information on proposal preparation requirements for relevant federal, state, and local sponsors, as well as private foundations and industry partners.
- Identify common and complementary research interests; assemble teams to address research and funding opportunities.
- Keep abreast of emerging research themes and have a holistic view to determine best future initiatives for the organization.

Appointment Information
This is a 100% full-time Academic Professional position, appointed on a 12-month basis. The expected start date is as soon as possible after the close date. Salary is commensurate with experience, with a budgeted amount of $65,000 to $85,000.
