The University of Indianapolis is hiring for a senior-level leadership role within the Department of Athletics, with the final job title—Deputy Athletic Director or Senior Associate Athletic Director—to be determined based on the selected candidate’s experience and qualifications.
This position provides strategic leadership and oversight of all external operations, including marketing, communications, corporate relations, ticket revenue, external rentals, and the overall game day experience. The individual will serve on the department’s executive leadership team and report directly to the Director of Athletics.

Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate all aspects of external operations, including athletic communications, marketing, and game day execution
- Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy to drive external revenue through corporate partnerships, sponsorships, ticket sales, and rentals
- Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate partners; manage partnership activation and stewardship
- Collaborate with University Advancement and Corporate Relations to align outreach and sponsorship efforts
- Engage alumni, students, and the community through strategic outreach and campus partnerships
- Ensure brand consistency in athletics and alignment with University branding standards
- Supervise external operations staff including graduate assistants, interns, and student workers
- Participate in department-wide strategic planning and provide sport oversight as assigned
- Serve as a member of the department’s executive leadership team and support overall departmental goals
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Minimum of three years’ experience in collegiate athletics administration, preferably at the NCAA Division I or II level
- Proven success in business-to-business or corporate sales
- Demonstrated leadership experience managing teams or functional areas within external operations
- Strong knowledge of marketing, ticketing, and promotions strategies
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong planning, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- High emotional intelligence, integrity, and a collaborative mindset
