| Job Summary | The Department of Early Childhood, Special Education, and Counselor Education Program in the College of Education at the University of Kentucky invites applications for a tenure-eligible position. This is an Open-rank position in the Regular Title Series in Counselor Education. The appointment is 9 months, effective August 16, 2025. The Counselor Education program has specialties in rehabilitation counseling and clinical mental health counseling for distance learning at the master’s level, counselor education and supervision at the doctoral level, and interdisciplinary disability studies at the undergraduate level. Teaching will involve all program levels, with specific duties in the doctoral program. The counselor education programs are CACREP-accredited. Faculty provide exceptional education and training to all our students and affirm professional identities. The individual chosen for this position must meet the following minimum criteria:
Responsibilities include the following: work with the doctoral program and eventually assume the responsibility of program coordinator, teach a 2-2 course load; engage with Counselor Education faculty in program planning, course development, assist with measures for determining and evaluating student learning outcomes and dispositions; advise students; develop a programmatic research agenda and scholarly writing; prepare and submit grant applications; and provide service and engagement activities to the profession, department, college and university, and community collaboration; and participate in professional organizations.
