Job Summary | Seeking a highly qualified individual for a Scientist III position. This individual will design, conduct, and analyze experiments using animal models of cancer and fibrosis with potential neurological disorders. The main focus of the laboratory is to understand how collagen post-translational modifications influence biology and diseases. Ultimately, the goal is to leverage these findings as therapeutic targets for treating collagen-related diseases. Expertise in rodent handling, animal husbandry, PCR genotyping, and colony management is a must. Technical experience in small animal surgeries, immunohistochemistry/histology, ELISAs, qPCR, and microscopy are highly desired. In addition, the individual will be responsible for administrative duties specifically dealing with laboratory management, financial budgeting, ordering supplies, and maintaining laboratory equipment. |
