Physical Requirements
The physical requirements of this position will include intermittently lifting, pushing, and/or pulling objects up to 50lbs; occasionally standing or walking with objects up to 25lbs; sitting at a computer workstation for extended periods of time with repetitive motions (such as typing); and intermittently (10% – 50% of the time) job-related travel.
Shift
Primarily Monday through Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm. Additional work outside these hours may be required based on department needs
Job Summary
The Director of Employee Engagement & Experience will be responsible for leading and overseeing the employee engagement, experience, and organizational development strategies across both UK HealthCare (UKHC) and the University of Kentucky (UK). This position will focus on enhancing the employee experience, fostering a culture of engagement, and aligning the workforce with both UKHC and UK’s strategic goals. Additionally, the Director will be responsible for the implementation and management of organizational development initiatives and learning programs to support workforce growth and leadership development.
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
Certification in Organizational Development, Learning & Development, or Employee Engagement is a plus.
Familiarity with trends in healthcare and higher education employee engagement and experience.
Experience in managing employee experience strategies for hybrid and remote work environments.

Preferred Education/Experience
Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in Organizational Development, Human Resources, or related field preferred.
At least 7-10 years of experience in employee engagement, organizational development, or learning with a focus in healthcare or higher education.
Experience in managing employee engagement programs and strategies across large, complex organizations (healthcare and/or university settings).
Strong ability to analyze data, identify trends, and drive engagement strategies that result in measurable outcomes.
Proven experience in leading organizational development and learning programs, including leadership development, succession planning, and workforce training.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with leaders at all levels.
Experience in managing budgets and financial operations for large-scale programs.
At least 7-10 years of experience in employee engagement, organizational development, or learning with a focus in healthcare or higher education.
Experience in managing employee engagement programs and strategies across large, complex organizations (healthcare and/or university settings).
