Job Summary
This role provides support to all nursing units on off-shift hours, ensuring safe and high-quality patient care. The incumbent will provide bedside education, coaching, and guidance in patient care, collaborating with the healthcare team. They will serve as a clinical resource and communicate regularly with the Patient Care Supervisor on unit needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Rounds for improvement, maintaining awareness of initiatives and staff competencies.
- Identifies situations requiring notification of the Patient Care Supervisor or unit leader and collaborates on resolving issues.
- Facilitates appropriate assignments based on acuity, census, and staff competencies.
- Provides clinical support by acting as a consultant, facilitating communication, and coordinating with the medical team on complex patients.
- Assists with coordinating admissions, delegation, and redistribution of work.
- Communicates effectively and professionally, addressing customer service issues and rounding on patients, families, and staff as needed.
- Ensures survey readiness by inspecting units for cleanliness and safety concerns.
- Provides chart audits and peer feedback.
Qualifications
- Graduated from an accredited school of nursing.
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Maryland.
- Minimum of two years' experience at the Clinical Nurse II level.
- ACLS Certification.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience at the Clinical Nurse III or IV level.

- Pay Range: $44.76 - $67.19
