Job Title: Clinical Resource and Safety Net
About the Role
This role provides critical support to all nursing units on off-shift hours, ensuring safe and high-quality patient care.
You will serve as a clinical resource, communicate regularly with the Patient Care Supervisor, and provide bedside education, coaching, and guidance to patients and families in collaboration with the healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide visible support to team members by rounding for improvement and maintaining awareness of initiatives and staff competencies.
- Identify situations requiring notification of Patient Care Supervisor or unit leader and collaborate on unresolved issues.
- Facilitate assignments for oncoming shifts based on acuity, census, and staff competencies, ensuring staff take meal breaks during shifts.
- Offer clinical support by acting as a consultant on clinical and administrative decisions, facilitating communication and coordination with the medical team on complex patients, and serving as a preceptor for staff needing support with new procedures or skills.
- Assist staff with coordinating timely admissions, delegation, redistribution of work, and identification of staffing needs.
- Communicate effectively and professionally, demonstrating respect for other health-team members, addressing customer service issues, and rounding on patients/families/staff as needed.
- Address safety concerns by identifying and entering occurrence reports, inspecting units for cleanliness, and ensuring readiness for surveys.
- Perform chart audits, provide peer feedback, and complete other assigned duties.
Qualifications
- Graduated from an accredited school of nursing
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Maryland
- Minimum of two years' experience in Clinical Nurse II level
- ACLS Certification
- Current EKG Competency
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in Clinical Nurse III or Clinical Nurse IV level

Compensation
- Pay Range: $44.76 - $67.19
Salary : $45 - $67
