Overview:
The University of Maryland's School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation seeks a highly skilled Program Coordinator to provide administrative support to the team in a contract capacity. This 6-month contract position requires 40 hours of work per week and is fully onsite, Monday - Friday, in College Park, MD.
This role will manage all initiatives for three academic programs, including faculty contracts, travel, graduate assistant hiring, and faculty searches. The successful candidate will also serve as a liaison between the programs and internal MAPP partners, as well as external partners such as the University Administration, the Graduate School, government agencies, non-profit organizations, and for-profit businesses.
Duties include managing student administration, admissions, and recruitment; maintaining student academic information; coordinating and managing program events; analyzing information for academic decisions; and carrying out all administrative initiatives for the programs.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
- 2 years of experience in an academic environment, preferably with familiarity with UMD administrative systems, policies, and procedures
