UMSAz is seeking applicants for a full time Physical Therapy Faculty/Institutional Effectiveness Officer position for its graduate online programs (Transitional Doctor of Physical Therapy, PhD in Rehabilitation Sciences and Doctor of Science in Movement Sciences). This 12-month contract position provides excellent opportunities for teaching, clinical practice, research and other scholarly activities.
The successful candidate will be a physical therapist whose faculty duties will include the development and teaching of program curricula, research/scholarly activity, and university service. Additionally, 50% of the FTE is as the Institutional Effectiveness Officer. The Institutional Effectiveness Officer (IEO) is responsible for the oversight of the university's institutional effectiveness. The IEO works closely with campus leaders, in particular in the processes involved in resource allocations, enrollment management, and other data system requirements for the University. Primary duties include the compilation, analysis, interpretation, and communication of all data needed to inform planning and resource management decisions. The IEO is responsible for all official University data.
Qualifications for the position include a doctorate in physical therapy (DPT) OR a physical therapy degree (BS, MS) and a PhD, DSc or terminal degree (ABD will be considered) in a related field. The individuals must possess at least 1 year of teaching experience within a higher education setting along with at least 3 years of clinical practice. The candidate must also possess research knowledge that is commensurate at a doctoral level. The individual should have a physical therapy license to practice in Hawaii or be eligible for licensure in Hawaii.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Teaching within the doctoral programs, certificate program and continuing education program.
- Collects, analyzes, and interprets all institutional data and is the only source of official institutional data for all stakeholders.
- Assures that all federal, state, and other external reporting requirements are submitted accurately and in a timely fashion.
- Responds to internal requests for data from senior administration.
- Creates tables and charts for reports, publications, and presentations.
- Serves as central resource for institutional data and assists in the development and monitoring of strategic indicators.
- Assesses institutional outcomes and contributes to reporting for accreditation in coordination with the Accreditation Liaison Officer.
- Coordinates the administration and utilization of institution-wide surveys and studies related to institutional assessment for continuous improvement.
- Manages the University’s assessment calendar and program review process.
