Northern Missouri Research Extension and Education Center (NM-REEC) is looking for a dedicated Research Specialist II to join our dynamic team at the Cornett Farm in Linneus, MO. This role provides an exciting opportunity to collaborate with leading professors on innovative research projects that focus on cattle, crops, and forages.
Key Responsibilities
Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience and at least 1 year of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree, experience with livestock and experience in applied agronomic research is preferred.
Anticipated Hiring Range
Salary Range: $18.50-$26.34/hour.
Salary is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to, the individual’s particular combination of education, skills, and experience, as well as organizational requirements.

- Actively contribute to the planning, coordination, and execution of agronomic trials across a variety of crops, ensuring adherence to specific protocols and timelines.
- Plan and prioritize resources to meet project demands, communicating plans and needs effectively with the Agronomy Professor, NM-REEC Director, and other team members.
- Assist graduate students, summer interns, and staff in executing assigned projects by fostering a collaborative and productive research environment.
- Participate in NM-REEC sponsored activities and initiatives, showcasing research outcomes that advance agricultural knowledge and practices.
- As with all positions, involvement with other duties and responsibilities may be expected in order to support the mission and purpose of the University of Missouri.
