At the University of Nebraska Foundation, we grow relationships and resources that enable the University of Nebraska to change lives and save lives. Additionally, at the University of Nebraska at Kearney (UNK) Alumni Association, it is our goal to provide opportunities for alumni to connect with the university and fellow alumni, allowing both to prosper and grow. You will join the foundation at an exciting time, with the opportunity to make a transformational impact. The foundation is in the public phase of a historic campaign to raise $3 billion to build a better future for Nebraska.
This paid internship offers a flexible schedule (15 to 20 hours/week), professional workplace experience, learning opportunities, and a convenient work location near campus. The year-round internship begins immediately. Preference will be given to students who can work over the summer and for multiple semesters.
Ways you’ll make an impact:
- Assist the University of Nebraska at Kearney Alumni Association and University of Nebraska Foundation team with database entry, mailings, and various administrative tasks.
- Provide event support.
- Create a welcoming, positive environment by greeting donors and guests, while providing back up support in our reception areas.
- Offer your perspective as a student and help the team implement current and new ideas.

What you need:
- Enrolled as an undergraduate or graduate student at the University of Nebraska at Kearney
- Self-starter with excellent organization skills, accuracy, and attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Discretion in handling confidential matters.
- Excel, Word, and database experience preferred.
