Position Summary
The University of New Mexico is seekingfaculty at the Open Rank level in the Open Track to join theDepartment of Dental Medicine, Division of Dental Services. The Department ofDental Medicine has a primary mission of delivering education and a fullspectrum of clinical care.
The Departmentof Dental Medicine at the University of New Mexico School of Medicine inAlbuquerque is looking for a full-time GeneralDentist to provide and oversee direct dental diagnosis, treatment,procedures, and care in a public health setting. The ideal candidate should becomfortable providing general dentistry for adults and children. The dentistshould have current experience with general dentistry including routine anduncomplicated surgical extractions. In addition, the ideal candidate will haveexperience working with and supervising dental residents. This is a open track open rank position which affords applicantsthe opportunity to enter as an Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor andeducator who is primarily engaged in clinical care with residents. Thesuccessful applicant will join an interdisciplinary team of faculty providingthe delivery of education, surgical services, clinical care, and research.
Responsibilities :
- Provide direct clinical care (adults and children)
- Perform Surgical and Third Molar Extractions appropriate for a general dentist.
- Work in dental clinic and / or OR setting
- Provide resident didactic and clinical training
