Night Auditor, Morris Inn (Full Time)

The University of Notre Dame Enterprises and Events (UEE) division is currently hiring for the position of Night Auditor within the department of The Morris Inn. The UEE division leads the University's event management, hospitality, and customer service functions while supporting student life, academic endeavors, and research initiatives.

Why this position?
This position is responsible for performing all front desk duties required for hotel reservation activities and assuring guest satisfaction at the Morris Inn. Duties include; carefully handling details with courteous treatment of clientele, complying and balancing information for the hotel's financial records, preparing a summary of cash, checks, and credit card activities, and reflecting the hotel's financial performance for the day. Job duties also include posting room charges to guests accounts by running an end of day process through property management system and understanding of principles required for auditing/balancing and closing out accounts. This position will monitor front desk reports on guest reservations and in-house status, and also assist/communicate with other departments (i.e. communicating information regarding guest occupancy and room status to Housekeeping). The Night Auditor will assist with guest baggage and other guest needs as needed (pillows, towels, etc.) and lend support to other departments when necessary. This position is responsible for ensuring guest service standards are consistently performed at the 4 Diamond Level while performing Manager on Duty responsibilities as required.

This position is with University Enterprises and Events at the University of Notre Dame and is eligible for a $1,000 sign-on bonus (1/2 paid after 90 days and 180 days of continuous employment). Candidates are only eligible if they are a new employee to the University - current Notre Dame employees who transfer are not eligible. Other rules and conditions apply.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma orGED
• 1-2 years of related work experience
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office and POS systems
