The Student Services Coordinator is an essential point of the contact for several programs in the Graduation and Retention Network. You will primarily serve students that participate in GARNET’s Summer Programs, in addition to supporting other graduation and retention driven initiatives.
Job Related Minimum Required Education and Experience
Requires a bachelor’s degree in a job related field and 1 or more years of job related experience, which may be substituted by an equivalent combination of job related certification, training, education, and/or experience.

Coordinates First Year Early Start Math Readiness Program. Works with the Office of Undergraduate Admissions to communicate with incoming, admitted students enrolled in the program. Develops communications streams for students and parents about programs, including information sessions for prospective student participants and their families. Provides direction on program requirements, policies and procedures to students and instructors, and offers support in navigating and referring to campus partners as appropriate. Tracks student progress and reports on program metrics. Assesses operations and recommends changes as appropriate.

Coordinates GARNET’s Summer Course Recovery Program. Identifies currently enrolled students that meet program criteria and notify them of their eligibility. Provides direction on program requirements, policies and procedures to students and offers support in navigating and referring to campus partners as appropriate. Tracks student progress and assesses participation in student support services. Monitors completion of Grade Forgiveness applications and accuracy of student-centered practices and record keeping. Recommends policy changes to GARNET summer programs, as needed, to promote students’ success and retention efforts.

Maintains positive relationships with all academic departments, university offices and personnel that partner with GARNET and FGC.
