Manages and is responsible for the performance of the daily operations of the Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) function. Provides systems planning, support, and development and/or supervises staff. Provides consultative services and advises HR leadership on current and future systems.

Required Qualifications
- Associate’s degree from accredited institution in Business, Information System, or related field. The degree requirement may be substituted for at least two years of full-time relevant professional experience.
- At least two years of experience working with HR information systems such as enterprise resource planning, personnel administration, database, reporting, or other relevant applications.
- At least one year of experience supervising employees.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply complex policies and procedures.
- Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a variety of stakeholders within and outside complex organizations.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate policies and procedures to stakeholders in writing and verbally.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Information Systems or related field.
- One year of experience administering with payroll and benefits data.
- Experience using Workday, PeopleSoft, SAP Business Intelligence, Tableau, or related applications.
- Experience using Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience working in higher education or public sector organizations.

Maintains Personnel Data in HR Systems
Duties to Support Responsibility
- Responsible for ensuring collaboration and coordination of database entry, maintenance, and auditing of all transactions in the enterprise tool used by UW System Administration to maintain all employment and payroll-related data for UW-La Crosse.
- Work collaboratively with UWL employing units, UWL HR Leadership, and UW Shared Services to ensure employee data is properly entered into enterprise data systems.
- On a regular basis and as requested by UW System Administration or UW-La Crosse, prepare, review, and develop requested employment or payroll data reports.
- Audits and ensures the accurate entry and maintenance of all data in the HRIS system and ancillary systems.
- Establishes and implements security access policies and protocols for HR systems for UW-La Crosse.
- As needed, update the Chief Human Resources Officer on requested changes or new procedures for processing or administering the personnel data management functions.

- Work collaboratively with UWL HR Leadership and UW Shared Services to develop and process bi-weekly and off-cycle payroll and benefits data.
- Audit and correct preliminary payroll reports. Review any discrepancies and ensure the corrections are completed prior to the payroll confirmation.
- Perform and/or assist with payroll audits as requested by UW System, employees, supervisors, other departments, and/or HR leadership team.
- Calculate complicated payroll adjustments, reconcile and/or approve final reports required for payroll and/or absences.
- Investigate and suggest solutions to incorrect payroll payments.
