JOB DETAILS:
Position Summary
The Accessibility Coordinator facilitates the determination of reasonable accommodations for students with disabilities to ensure equal access. Each coordinator in the DRC is assigned to a specific population or certain percentage of qualified students and serves as their primary contact for academic accommodations issues (qualification, resolving concerns, referrals to other supports).
There are occasional early evening and weekend commitments, primarily for student recruiting/orientation events.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor¿s degree required
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships with students and colleagues
- Articulated ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume setting
Preferred Qualifications
- Formal experience supporting people with disabilities
- Demonstrated experience reviewing documentation, conducting intake interviews and determining reasonable accommodations in an educational setting

Terms of Employment
This is an Academic Staff annual appointment, exempt from the Fair Labor Standards Act. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
