We are looking for a Finance Director to join our client’s growing Finance team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in FP&A and Field Finance, strong technical skills, and a proactive mindset to thrive in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
Reporting directly to the CFO, this role will be responsible for leading and executing key FP&A and Field Finance initiatives, including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, capital decision-making, sourcing analysis, and KPI development. Additionally, this role will work closely with operations and sales leaders to drive strategic business decisions.

- Lead and develop the finance team to support the growth in scale and complexity of the organization.
- Develop strong relationships based on mutual trust and respect with operating and sales leaders at all levels.
- Drive financial results via data analysis, including key trends, variance analysis and development of financial models for decision support.
- Lead annual multi-year strategic plan and business plan processes for the portfolio, including year-over-year analysis and recommendations for top-line and bottom-line growth.
- Lead monthly reporting and forecast processes including variance analysis and explanations.
- Increase productivity by developing automated reporting and forecasting tools.
- Review and influence capital spending plans via business case, project payback and profitability analysis.
- Drive overall business analysis, understanding and actions using key performance indicators, including non-financial metrics.
- Drive deep analytics and understanding of site level, customer level, and product/service line level performance and profitability.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams including accounting, operations, and sales to ensure monthly results, variance analysis, and recommended actions are promptly and clearly communicated to the leadership team.
- Collaborate as strategic advisor to the CFO on financial planning and business growth initiatives.
- Education: Bachelors degree required. Masters degree preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years or more of progressive finance experience, preferably in world class organization(s) with a solid reputation for developing strong FP&A and business unit finance leaders.
- Proven success as a true Finance leader and partner to the business. Experience in the cold storage warehouse industry as a finance or accounting partner a plus, but not a requirement.
- Demonstrated ability to influence without authority and ability to communicate at all levels of the organization.
- Strong analytical skills (both qualitative and quantitative), including the ability to solve practical problems and analyze processes for improvement.
- Strong interpersonal skills and presence to quickly gain respect and build strong working relationships across the organization at all levels, including C-Suite/Executive
- FP&A system implementation experience a plus. Exposure to Sage Intacct and ADP payroll a plus. Exposure to management of non-financial KPIs (i.e., volumes, hours, other) a plus.
- Demonstrated natural curiosity to understand “why” and a desire to improve processes and systems.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of integrity and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to sit at a desk and work on a computer for prolonged periods of time (up to 10 hours a day) with constant interruptions and with competing demands.
- Ability to walk through a cold storage warehouse from as necessary to collaborate with operating leaders and to gain insight into the business.
