The Medical Assistant (MA) Lead ensures the provision of high quality patient care, assists in daily problem solving, and in the supervision and development of Medical Assistants (MAs). The MA Lead ensures Medical Providers receive sufficient support and assistance.

- High School Diploma or equivalency
- Graduate from a recognized Medical Assistant Program
- Current, nationally recognized Medical assistant Certification or Registration required
- Current and valid CPR card
- Knowledge of medical terminology required
- Good communication and customer service skills required
- Knowledge of CLIA and OSHA guidelines
- Knowledge of sterilization and disinfection procedures
- Knowledge of HIPAA laws and ability to adhere to confidentiality policies
- Knowledge of current medical assistant best practices and procedures including EKG and basic drugs
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent time management skills
- Working knowledge of patient management software and basic Microsoft office products. EPIC Preferred
- Ability to identify and apply proper communication methods in patient instruction
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
- Ability to interpret and read documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent telephone and customer service skills
- Skills to implement good safety practices that prevent exposure to known workplace hazards and the necessary action needed when exposed
- Skill in applying and modifying principles, methods and techniques of a medical assistant to provide ongoing patient care
- Strong attention to detail skills
- May include standing, sitting, and/or walking for extended periods
- May include performing repetitive tasks
- May include working with challenging patients and clients
- May include lifting up to 25 pounds
