Overview:
High School Diploma or GED required. Some college preferred
Experience (required and preferred):
Two years’ experience in hospital or outpatient department scheduling preferred. Knowledge of Medical Terminology necessary
This position schedules all new patient visits, reevaluations, simulations and special procedures for the department. Avoiding conflicts and assuring communication of vital information to required parties. The Scheduler, as our first line customer service representative, maintains a professional demeanor and appearance that promotes department goals. This position will also work closely with the Brown Cancer Center physicians, nurses and staff to ensure timely scheduling, maintaining communications with all parties regarding clinic changes (e.g., closures, additions, ad hoc appointments).
