Job Summary :

We are seeking a Sales Executive / Business Development (Growth) Manager to drivesignificant partnerships and client acquisition efforts in North America. This hybrid role combines business development and account management responsibilities, targeting enterprise clients in industries such as BFSI, Manufacturing, and Healthcare / Life Sciences. The ideal candidate will independently build a pipeline of prospects, manage high-value relationships, and secure long-term partnerships that align with upGrad Enterprise's strategic goals. This is an entrepreneurial role requiring consultative selling expertise, the ability to navigate ambiguous business landscapes, and a track record of delivering high-value deals in technology- enabled education, enterprise software, or related industries.

Work Location : Boston / California / New York / Texas

Key Responsibilities :

1. Business Development & Client Acquisition :

o Identify, qualify, and acquire new clients by building relationships with senior

executives at leading brands, enterprises, and government agencies.

o Independently create and execute business development plans to convert

prospects into strategic partners or clients.

o Use a consultative sales approach to align upGrad Enterprise’s offerings with

client business objectives.

2. Partnership & Relationship Management :

o Build and nurture relationships with key client stakeholders through meetings,

presentations, and discussions about upGrad Enterprise’s products and

capabilities.

o Manage select strategic accounts, ensuring optimization of integrations, co-

marketing campaigns, and long-term client satisfaction.

o Evangelize the company’s solutions to position upGrad Enterprise as a trusted

partner in enterprise learning and development.

3. Sales Execution & Deal Closing :

o Negotiate and close large, complex deals while ensuring mutual value creation.

o Meet or exceed quarterly and annual sales and revenue targets.

4. Collaboration & Product Alignment :

o Work closely with internal teams (Product, Marketing, Engineering, Customer

Success) to align on client needs and develop tailored solutions.

o Provide actionable insights from client and partner relationships to inform product

feature development and business strategy.

5. Market Intelligence :

o Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to

identify opportunities and refine strategies.

o Leverage data-driven insights to continuously improve the sales process and

customer outcomes.

6. Leadership in Implementation :

o Lead program execution for large-scale partnerships, ensuring successful

onboarding and implementation with the support of cross-functional teams.

o Provide leadership and guidance to ensure smooth delivery and value realization

for clients.

Qualifications & Skills :

  • Experience :

o 5–10 years in a senior Business Development or Sales role, preferably in

technology, enterprise software, or education solutions targeting North American

markets.

o Proven experience in closing large, complex deals in industries such as BFSI,

Manufacturing, Healthcare, or Life Sciences.

o Demonstrated ability to manage relationships with senior executives and drive

multi-million-dollar partnerships.

  • Education :
  • o Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. MBA or MS is

    preferred.

  • Skills :
  • o Strong consultative selling, negotiation, and relationship-building capabilities.

    o Ability to communicate complex solutions effectively and tailor them to client

    needs.

    o Exceptional written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.

    o Highly self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to operate independently in a fast-

    paced environment.

    o Strong problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills.

  • Knowledge :
  • o Familiarity with online education platforms, SaaS solutions, or talent development

    tools.

    o Deep understanding of market trends and customer pain points within BFSI,

    Manufacturing, and Healthcare / Life Sciences.
