Responsibilities include:
- Answer phone inquiries and investigate specimen status, providing accurate updates and directing callers to additional resources as needed to ensure efficient communication.
- Receive, sort, prepare, and deliver testing-ready specimens to work areas, ensuring that all specimens are properly processed and ready for analysis.
- Demonstrate a service-oriented approach by conveying courtesy, respect, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude in all work situations, ensuring excellent customer service and teamwork.
- Perform routine and basic instrument maintenance according to established protocols, including recording temperatures, to ensure the proper functioning of laboratory equipment.
- Assist with restocking supplies to maintain optimal inventory levels, while ensuring clean and orderly storage of room temperature, refrigerated, and frozen supplies for ease of access.
- Prepare and replenish instrument reagents and consumables as needed, ensuring laboratory processes are uninterrupted and operational needs are met.
- Perform QA/QC procedures as assigned, ensuring adherence to quality standards and maintaining compliance with laboratory protocols.
- Assist with specimen/slide storage and retrieval, check pending work lists, investigate unprocessed work, and decontaminate work areas, ensuring a clean, organized, and efficient laboratory environment.
Salary : $18 - $27
