We're searching for an experienced HR professional to join our UPMC Bedford Altoona team as a Senior Human Resources Consultant! This is a full-time position that works daylight hours, Monday through Friday. Some travel within the Bedford Altoona region is required for the role.
The Senior Human Resources Consultant will independently provide strategic human resources consulting to business, operations and HR regarding the implementation of human resource policies and employee relations strategies. Daily job responsibilities will include employee relations issues, leading employee investigations, onboarding physicians, leading retention and engagement initiatives, and so much more!

Responsibilities:
- Lead business objectives with employees and management, serving as a senior business partner to management on HR-related issues and acts as a change agent. Accountable for managing and delivering HR programs and services within the organization
- Partner with leaders to provide and implement HR initiatives that support management and employees across the organization.
- Collaborate with HR team to design and plan interventions that facilitate organizational changes.
- Provides leadership and mentorship within the HR department and oversee HR staff as needed.
- Drive change management practices to enable organizational effectiveness and foster a diversity & inclusion strategy that will maximize our competitive advantage and skills of the workforce.
- Participate on local and/or organization wide committees that focus on projects that move the organization forward and towards meeting its strategic goals.
- Collaborate with HR business and operational leaders to identify education gaps and development opportunities for management and employees. Partners with management to provide consultation on coaching and mentorship for staff.
