What are the responsibilities and job description for the ACM Estimator position at Upper restoration?
The ideal candidate will be responsible for appropriately evaluating the cost of a project, and evaluating the cost to take on that project. The candidate will be familiar with our competitive advantages as an organization and will be able to communicate those to our benefit throughout the bidding process.
Responsibilities
- Maintain knowledge of competitive advantages in the industry to aid bidding process
- Resolve cost discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information
- Obtain accurate quotes for materials and systems to establish accurate cost estimates
- Perform estimating on demolition drawings, ACM and Hazmat reports and drawings, and environmental remediation scopes of work.
- Produce quantitative surveys and accurate pricing for comparison with change order proposal submitted by prime contractors
- Obtain and present unit pricing data
- Responsible for outlining changes, clarifications and qualifications within an estimate
- Provide back up for estimates to be used during analysis, review , and negotiations
- Identify indirect costs and General Condition items within estimate
- Possess and apply knowledge of unit prices and the material / labor component of an estimate
- Produce manpower estimates to coincide with unit pricing
