We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Tax Associate to join our dynamic team. This role involves preparing tax returns, conducting financial audits, and providing insightful analysis to support our clients' financial decisions. The Tax Associate will work closely with various stakeholders to ensure compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals and businesses.
- Conduct thorough analyses of financial statements and general ledger accounts.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable standards.
- Collaborate with clients to gather necessary documentation for tax preparation.
- Provide insights on tax strategies, including the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) opportunities.
- Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks and other financial software to manage client accounts effectively.
- Support private equity transactions by analyzing relevant financial data.
- Participate in financial auditing processes to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations that may impact clients.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and financial accounting principles.
- Proficiency in financial software, particularly QuickBooks and other accounting software.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Familiarity with LIHTC regulations is a plus.
- Prior experience in private equity or financial auditing is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills are essential.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.

Pay: $70,825.00 - $74,010.00 per year
