What are the responsibilities and job description for the Recruiter position at Upson Regional Medical Center?
The Recruiter position requires a strong presentation capability to represent the hospital and ambulatory clinics in a positive, uplifting, and upbeat manner. The Recruiter is responsible for working closely with the HR Director to develop and execute effective recruitment strategies that include high school, tech school, and college level programs. This position will represent the organization in community and school-sponsored job fair events, participate in community events in which there would be recruitment opportunities, and serve as a liaison between applicants and the organization. The Recruiter will develop effective strategies to advertise positions effectively and find creative ways to draw attention to vacancies. The Recruiter will oversee the agency staffing needs and effectively coordinate with managers on temporary needs, with a goal of recruiting to fill permanently. The Recruiter will also facilitate the administrative needs of the Nurse Extern, LPN/Paramedic Bridge to RN, and Nurse Residency programs through oversight of the paperwork, agreements, and movement through the career ladders where applicable. The Recruiter will work closely with Onboarding and Education to ensure a smooth transition from applicant to employee, and to help identify/address recruitment needs. This is a dynamic position within Human Resources that will have established goals for time to fill, hard to fill placement, school recruitment, etc.
Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent. Prefer Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Management, or related field. At least two years working in healthcare and/or experience with job fairs/health fairs. More than two years working in healthcare recruiting, HR, or other related field. Must have a valid GA driver's license and a good driving record. Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbally. Must demonstrate an engaging communication style and a high degree of initiative. Ideal candidate will possess the ability to see the big picture and work independently to offer suggestions, strategies, and improvements.
