Feet First and Step Up Soccer Academy offer a unique youth soccer experience, focusing on foundational skills, teamwork, and fun for players aged 2.5-7. We’re looking for energetic young professionals eager to get started in sports management. Position Overview:
As a Location Manager, you’ll take on key responsibilities in on-field operations, including overseeing field setup, coaching quality, and customer service. This role offers hands-on experience in sports management fundamentals, giving you a solid foundation to advance in the industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Field Operations and Organization
- Set up and organize fields (equipment, signage, goals) to ensure a smooth game-day experience.
- Coordinate with coaches to keep each session running seamlessly.
- Coach Leadership and Support
- Lead a team of coaches, ensuring a safe, fun, and productive environment for all players.
- Step in to support coaches, manage assignments, and substitute as needed.
- Ensure curriculum consistency across sessions.
- Engaging with Families and Players
- Serve as the friendly face on game days, helping families feel welcome and informed.
- Build positive connections with families, fostering a community-centered atmosphere.
- Quality Control and Field Checks
- Visit each field, checking that coaches are on schedule, the equipment is ready, and players are engaged.
- Jump in to assist with demonstrations or address any on-field needs.
- Weekly Administrative Tasks
- Coordinate with staff on schedules, manage equipment needs, capture session photos, and communicate with coaches.
Schedule:
- Weekday evening (3 hours), weekend (4-6 hours), plus admin hours (1-2 hours).
- Flexible with seasonal shifts (Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter) for consistent, hands-on management experience.
Qualifications:
- A passion for sports and a drive to gain experience in sports management.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills with a team-oriented mindset.
- Excellent communication skills with a friendly, professional demeanor.
- Physical ability to work outdoors, lift light equipment, and stay on your feet.
