We are seeking a skilled Medical Imaging Technician to join our Nuclear Medicine team at Upstate University Hospital. As a Medical Imaging Technician, you will play a critical role in performing high-quality diagnostic procedures using state-of-the-art equipment. Your collaboration with Radiologists, Physicists, and Radiation Safety will ensure that all procedures adhere to ACR standards and NYS Radiation Safety Guidelines.
To succeed in this position, candidates should hold an AAS in Radiologic Technology or equivalent, along with a valid NYS license/registration in Nuclear Medicine (obtained within 6 months of limited permit). They should also be Registered with NMTCB or ARRT (within 1 year of appointment). One year of experience as a radiologic technologist, plus current CPR-BLS certification by appointment, are also required.
The ideal candidate will possess a BS in Nuclear Medicine Technology, a valid NYS license/registration in Nuclear Medicine, and registration with NMTCB or ARRT. Three to five years of progressive technical experience is also desired.
