PET/CT Technologist Role:
The PET/CT Technologist at Upstate University Hospital is responsible for performing high-quality diagnostic procedures using PET/CT technology. This team member will collaborate with Radiologists, Physicists, and Radiation Safety to ensure adherence to ACR standards and NYS Radiation Safety Guidelines.
Successful candidates will have an AAS in Radiologic Technology or equivalent, a valid NYS license/registration in Nuclear Medicine (obtained within 6 months of limited permit), and registration with NMTCB or ARRT (within 1 year of appointment). One year of experience as a radiologic technologist, plus current CPR-BLS certification by appointment, are also required.
Preferred qualifications include a BS in Nuclear Medicine Technology, a valid NYS license/registration in Nuclear Medicine, and registration with NMTCB or ARRT. Three to five years of progressive technical experience is also highly desirable.
