Maternal Hub Community Engagement Manager Deputy
Urban Baby Beginnings is seeking a Full-Time Maternal Health Hub Community Engagement Manager Deputy, a critical leadership role responsible for supporting the integration of clinical systems with community-based models to address social determinants of health, improve healthcare access, and enhance outcomes for pregnant and postpartum families.
This role combines leadership and direct service delivery, requiring a proactive, organized, and mission driven individual to oversee the daily operations of maternal health hubs while supporting staff development and client services.
The Community Manager Deputy will play a pivotal role in hub operations and team leadership, including mentoring staff, managing key processes, and building a community presence. This role also includes 30% direct service through home visits and care coordination to maintain client engagement and outcomes.
The Deputy reports directly to the Manager of Community Services and will work collaboratively to advance Urban Baby Beginnings' mission.
This is not a work from home position.
Leadership & Staff Support:
Lead and support staff within the maternal health hubs, including Clinical Coordinators, Community Health Workers (CHWs), and Doulas.
· Provide mentorship, supervision, and guidance to staff, ensuring alignment with program goals and organizational standards.
· Assist the Manager of Community Services in overseeing hub operations and implementing strategic initiatives.
· Facilitate weekly reflective sessions and team meetings to address challenges, promote collaboration, and enhance service delivery.
· Represent the hub in local leadership discussions and act as a primary point of contact for staff and partners when the Manager is unavailable.
Community Presence & Engagement:
· Build and maintain relationships with community organizations, local partners, and healthcare providers to promote the hub’s mission and services.
· Represent Urban Baby Beginnings at community events, outreach initiatives, and partnership forums.
· Conduct presentations and workshops to increase awareness of maternal health resources and programs.
· Lead neighborhood canvassing and outreach efforts to expand program participation and visibility.
Direct Client Services (30% Role Requirement):
· Conduct in-home & clinical assessments, including health history, physical exams, and social needs evaluations, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
· Collaborate with healthcare providers and social workers to develop and implement tailored care plans for families.
· Provide culturally responsive, trauma-informed care, including education on birth planning, lactation, and resource connection.
· Maintain high standards for care delivery and ensure client satisfaction through effective follow-up and case management.
General Staff Responsibilities:
- Participate in and facilitate staff meetings, conferences, training sessions and workshops as assigned.
- Demonstrate familiarity with employment policies, performance standards, work plan and objectives of program.
- Maintain congenial and respectful relations with staff, children, families and community.

QUALIFICATIONS TO APPLY
Education/Experience:
Education: Bachelor's degree in public health, social work, healthcare administration, nursing, or a related field (Master's Preferred).
Experience: Minimum of 3 years in maternal health, care coordination, or community-based programming, with at minimum of 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role. Community Based leadership and or experience is a plus
Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead teams, manage programs, and inspire collaboration and accountability.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in data management tools and electronic health records.

· Experience working with diverse populations and addressing health disparities.
· Knowledge of maternal and child health, care coordination, and trauma-informed care principles.
