JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist in developing and implementing communications strategies to promote the 63106 Promise to Success Initiative.
- Use a results-driven approach (e.g., Results-Based Accountability) to create a data plan aligned with the Promise Neighborhoods guidance, including baselines, targets, solutions, partners, and performance measures.
- Keep USI, key education partners, and community stakeholders informed about project progress and achievements to maintain awareness among families and students.
- Create and maintain a data dashboard (e.g., Promise Scorecard) to share performance data with students, families, and neighborhood residents.
- Develop content that highlights performance data to foster a culture of accountability, manage partner performance, and monitor implementation fidelity and impact.
- Craft data-driven messages to build public and political support, laying the groundwork for a strategic communications plan.
- Produce quarterly reports for USI and SLPS leadership on project accomplishments, support needs, upcoming training, and issue press releases to highlight student achievements.
- Generate reports analyzing the impact of digital media and advertising on family and partner awareness and participation.
- Facilitate effective internal communication strategies.
- Develop a strategic community outreach plan, including social media posts and school/community canvassing.
- Conduct a policy environment scan to identify opportunities and potential threats.
- Engage in block walking, school visits, teacher connections, and attendance at PTA meetings and sports events to build project awareness and enthusiasm.
- Compile a contact registry of as many 63106 Promise to Success families and students as possible.
- Supporting and promoting the development of the USI CDFI client base.
- Desired BSc/BA in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- Mission-driven leader capable of managing diverse objectives and audiences.
- Creative problem solver with a collaborative spirit and a passion for communication strategies.
- Organized communicator proficient in traditional and digital platforms.
- Proficient in MS Office; familiarity with design software (e.g., Photoshop, InDesign) and content management systems is a plus.
- Coding knowledge is a plus; strong design, editing, and research abilities.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with strong attention to detail and organization.
Salary : $58,000 - $60,000
