Camp Aquatics Director
Aquatics Director(s) are to supervise and care for campers and Aquatics Staff. The candidates must be capable of building positive relationships, providing top-notch customer service and ensuring the safety and well-being of people of all ages. This position will require the candidate to complete multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professional standards.
Aquatics Director must have all current certifications: American Red Cross Lifeguard, First Aid, CPR for the Professional Rescuer, Lifeguard Management. and WSI (or be willing to become certified no later than June 1). urSwim Aquatics Directors report directly to and take direction from urSwim Management. Must be available M-F (no weekends). Summer Camps vary 6-10 weeks. Paid training, cool staff, reimbursement for recertifications, etc. We are a pretty awesome company. If you're awesome, apply below. Compensation to be commensurate with experience. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Delivering a 5-star experience
- Maintain a high level of attention to all members and guests to ensure safety while in and around the pool
- Delivering swim instruction
- Evaluate camper swimming abilities
- Complete weekly progress reports in a timely manner
- Prepare awards for completed swim levels
- Coordinate the recording of camper swim progress
- Supervise Team members ensuring high quality swim lessons
- Ensure overall supervision of Aquatics Team, pool area and equipment
- Communicate with parents/guardians either through written and/or verbal contact
- Identify and meet camper needs
- Coordinate daily swim schedule
- Provide an atmosphere for developing good morale and well-being among the camp family and team members
- Perform pool maintenance duties and complete water logs
- Be present at pool at all times
- Record any incident concerning any occurrence, evacuation or emergency at the pool
- Make sure instructors are prepared each day to teach swimming skills
- Know and understand each swimming skill level and the skills that are taught
- Ensure Buddy Checks are being performed.
- Experience teaching swim lessons at all levels
