Responsibilities
- Manage large amounts of incoming calls and email inquiries
- Process incoming product orders using ERP system
- Assist the Sales Department in generating sales leads
- Identify and assess customer needs to achieve satisfaction
- Build sustainable relationships and trust with customer accounts through open and interactive communication
- Provide accurate and complete information to customers using the correct methods and tools
- Handle customer complaints and assist in their communication and resolution with the operations team
- Report customer service issues to top management
- Maintain organized documentation of orders and quotes for easy retrieval
- Continually seek out methods to improve processes
- Adhere to AS9100D/IATF 16949 compliant procedures and processes
- Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations
- Perform any and all other duties assigned by management
Qualifications
- Understanding and commitment to US Castings' Core Values
- High School Diploma, or equivalent
- 2 years of related experience in customer service (Manufacturing a plus)
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to adapt and respond professionally to different types of personalities and characters in stressful situations
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
- Physically able to move, push, pull, and lift at least 50 pounds
- Ability to collaborate in a fast-paced, constantly evolving production environment
- Strong communication skills, including interpersonal, written, and verbal
- Detail-oriented and organized
- Solution-oriented, excellent problem-solving skills
- Self-starter yet able to take orders as directed
- Comfortable working around heavy equipment in a dynamic environment
- Willingness to work on shop floor as well as in an office environment
- Strong computer literacy skills required for timekeeping and data entry
- Must be flexible and willing to adapt schedule to meet business demands
- Weekends and holidays may be necessary
- Willingness to work in a foundry type environment
- Constant walking, standing, pushing, pulling, carrying, lifting, kneeling, bending, stooping, and moving during working hours
- Required to pass a drug and hearing test
