JOB SUMMARY
US Award Supply is a leading Trophy and Awards Manufacturer in Madisonville, TX. We create unique branded products for competitions and corporate events all over the world.
The basic function of the Graphic Designer position is to perform all aspects of the artwork preparation at US Award Supply including the creation of artwork from scratch and creating artwork/production layouts from a wide range of customer supplied art. You will have a hand in creating unique products like Trophies, Medals, Rings, Plaques, Ribbons, and Advertising for hundreds of Sports Organizations all over the world. You will also help in creating Marketing material for our various companies as well as help maintain our websites.
Position Duties
Must have knowledge of various types of art and graphics software to handle the wide range of formats in which art is received from the customers. Must be knowledgeable in, Adobe Illustrator, Corel, Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, and Adobe Acrobat. Knowledge of Microsoft Word/Excel.
The Graphic Artist must be capable of producing designs from drawings and from verbal descriptions provided by customers, and written descriptions provided on quotes with artwork requests. This person must possess sufficient artistic flair to create designs that will be visually appealing when reproduced for awards.
This position requires a self-starter capable of accomplishing tasks within deadlines established by customers and the Customer Service Department. This person must be capable of simultaneously working on multiple projects, switching from one to the other without the need for reorientation.
The Graphic Artist must be a highly organized person, capable of utilizing his time to maximum benefit. This person must ensure that jobs are not sent to production until they have received any customer approvals necessary.
Because of the short lead-time requirements of customers, the Graphic Artist must be capable of properly re-establishing production priorities continuously.
Requirements
Education:
A High School Diploma or equivalent, with some college-level coursework in Graphic Design, is required. A Bachelor’s or Associate's Degree in Graphic Design is preferred. Additional experience may be substituted.
Experience:
A minimum of one year’s experience as a Graphic Designer in a computer-generated graphics manufacturing company is preferred. You will have the opportunity to move up in Role/Pay as you perform well in daily tasks.
