What you'll do:

The Vice President of Business Development is responsible for the development and execution of strategies to drive revenue growth, expand market share, achieve financial objectives, and position the organization for long-term success. This senior leadership role demands strategic thinking, highly effective communication, and exceptional project management to steer the organization toward growth and profitability. This role requires extensive experience in the technology industry and deep understanding of market dynamics, customer needs, and emerging trends.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategy Development & Execution:

  • Identify and evaluate new markets, partners, channels, and customers.
  • Researches and analyzes the business environment, competitors, and customers to develop ideas for new products and services, pricing, and business models.
  • Directs financial feasibility studies, proposal development, and negotiations for new business opportunities.
  • Collaborates with marketing, sales, product development, and other stakeholders to support business development plans.
  • Assist with executing acquisition strategy and managing pre/post-acquisition plans.

Negotiation & Deal Making:

  • Lead complex negotiations with clients, partners, and stakeholders to secure profitable deals and partnerships.
  • Cultivate and sustain strong relationships with a wide network of industry contacts to keep informed about current and future industry and market actions.
  • Ensure all agreements and contracts align with the organization’s strategic goals and financial objectives.

Leadership & Project Management:

  • Provide visionary leadership and strategic director the business development function.
  • Oversee the planning, execution, and successful completion of business development projects and initiatives.

Experience and Skills:

What you bring to the team:

  • Bachelor’s degree or 4 years of relevant work experience; Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration, finance, management, or related field preferred; MBA preferred.
  • 8 years of experience in business development and/or strategy in the technology industry, with a proven track record of driving revenue growth, expanding market share, and achieving financial objectives.
  • Significant experience successfully negotiating complex deals, with the ability to clearly analyze, evaluate and communicate opportunities, uncertainties and sensitivities.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building abilities.
  • Adaptable in a fast-changing business environment.
  • Outstanding time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative
  • Travel up to 20% may be required.
