Production Leader

About the Job:

• This is a leadership role where you will oversee and coordinate non-union personnel within various departments involved in automotive manufacturing processes.

The ideal candidate will have 3 years of experience in automotive manufacturing, preferably with supervisory experience. Intermediate knowledge of Excel and Word is required, as well as demonstrable knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Project Management, and ISO procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Direct and coordinate daily activities of assigned employees to achieve safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and labor utilization goals.
• Create and monitor efficient material flow through departments using manpower and equipment.
• Determine and implement continuous improvement plans for equipment and departments.
• Foster working relationships with associated departments, such as Planning, Engineering, and Quality.
• Establish effective communication vehicles, including toolbox meetings and employee meetings.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree preferred but not required.
• Manufacturing environment a plus but not required.
• 3 Years of Automotive Manufacturing Experience; Five (5) to seven (7) years of Supervisory experience, heat treating, metal finishing or working with metals is preferred.
• Intermediate knowledge of Excel, Word required;
• Demonstrable knowledge and experience in Lean Manufacturing, Project Management and ISO procedures is required
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize work; excellent time management skills required.
• Excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to clearly communicate verbally and in writing.
• Demonstrate good judgment and decision making with the ability to analyze situations and present a resolution(s).
