Overview:
Our Client, located in Bridgeville, is looking for a Senior Accountant. This role offers an excellent opportunity for an accountant who enjoys working with individuals and small businesses. The role involves assisting clients with their financial and tax matters, providing traditional tax compliance services, tax planning, accounting assistance, and business advisory services to a diverse client base, including start-ups and multi-state companies.
Responsibilities:
- Providing general accounting assistance to businesses and individuals
- Preparation of financial statements and reports
- Preparation of corporate, partnership, non-profit, and individual income tax returns
- Preparing quarterly tax estimates
- Assisting clients with tax planning and compliance issues
- Conducting tax research for federal and state tax issues
Requirements:
- Hold a bachelor's degree in business with a major or concentration in accounting
- Have a minimum of two to three years of related work experience in accounting and taxation, including general accounting and preparation of individual, partnership, and corporate tax returns
- Be proficient in the use of tax return preparation software; knowledge of CCH ProSeries a plus
- CPA or EA desirable but not required
- Be a knowledgeable user of QuickBooks accounting software
- Have strong written and oral communications skills
- Possess excellent computer skills; must be proficient in use of Excel
- Be well-organized and able to meet deadlines
Nice-to-haves
- Knowledge of CCH ProSeries tax software
- CPA or EA certification
