JOB DESCRIPTION:
Effectively works with plant management to develop and support process and continuous improvement culture within the Greenville Plant. Collaborate with other departments and support teams to improve operating department equipment and people processes to drive performance results. Responsible for training and supporting workplace organization such as 5s, project home, and problem solving at the point of production.
Assists teams in the development of process standard work; leader standard work to support/sustain improvements; and visual displays for use in Gemba walks and reflection discussions. Supports and coaches' reflection meetings and Gemba walks. Develops a strong understanding and utilization of process data historian and statistical information to evaluate process equipment results that lead to CI pipeline activities and actions. Some travel may be required. This position will report to the Engineering Manager.

Leadership: Responsible for two-way open communication throughout the plants for all CI efforts. Candidates must be able to give and receive critical feedback based on direct observation and data. Able to inspire, motivate, and spark others to implement action. Must be a decisive team leader that is results oriented. Must work effectively with a cross functional team and people over whom he/she has no authority.
Teamwork: Actively participates/collaborates with team members to enhance team's effectiveness. Must be able to influence, negotiate, and resolve conflicts to reach consensus around common goals. Build cooperative relationships and ensure continuing development of their skills in this area.
Decision Making/Problem Solving: Follows lean plan-do-check-act and A3 methodologies among other lean tools. Gathers and analyzes information to formulate actions. Gathers and analyzes information of all types to formulate trials, countermeasures and action plans. Carefully weighs consequences and risk. Meet with process owners and others that will be affected by the change to seek buy-in and direct input.
Administrative & Organizational Skills: Facilitates and/or leads kaizen process; both event-based and daily kaizen. Goal oriented, persistent, and driven to achieve objectives. Is skilled with Microsoft office tools and communicates well.

Rate of pay may be adjusted based on the qualifications and experience of the candidate.

- Engineering Degree or Equivalent Technical Experience
- Ability to successfully complete Green Belt and/or Black Belt certification process
